About Us

SAR Technical Services was formed in 1991 to provide repair service for Amateur Radio products manufactured by Marantz® Japan, Inc. and sold under the brand names of Standard and Heath®. Since our formation we have serviced those products for amateurs all over the U.S. and many other countries.

In 1998 we started servicing other brands of amateur radio products manufactured by ICOM® and other manufactures.

In 2005 we became a Factory Authorized Service Center for ICOM® Amateur Radio and Marine Communications Products, providing warranty and non-warranty service for customers who purchased ICOM® products. We are an independently owned Factory Service Center.

Although we service many products, we're still a small company dedicated to providing the best possible repair service available at a reasonable cost. We want you to be satisfied with every aspect of the service we provide. When you call or e-mail you'll be in contact with the technician servicing your product. By communicating together we can insure your product will be serviced properly.

Our Service Center is located on the Eastern Shore of Lake Michigan, central to most states east of the Rocky Mountains. We are a UPS. Shipper providing 1 to 3 day economical ground service to most of those states.
